2026 Ontario Winter Games to be hosted by Orillia

Held every two years, the Ontario Games are the province’s largest multi-sport event for youth in the province and provides amateur-youth athletes with a competitive experience that will prepare them for national and international competition, including the Canada Games and the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Ontario government is investing more than $1.32 million to support the City of Orillia’s successful bid to host the 2026 Ontario Winter Games.
The 2026 Ontario Winter Games are expected to generate an economic impact of more than $5 million by hosting up to 2,800 participants aged 12-18 in up to 20 sports, such as snowboarding, cross-country skiing, curling, ringette and others.
The 2026 Ontario Winter Games will take place over two weekends, with events being held February 19 – 22 and February 26 – March 1, 2026.
