Korean people are pleased with the historical victory of Nelly Shin at 2019 Federal Election held on October 21, 2019.

As six Korean candidates ran for this election, as a result, only one candidate, belonging to the riding of Port Moody-Coquitlam for the Conservative Party of Canada, won to be a Member of Parliament from the result of 2019 Federal Election.

Consequently, Nelly Shin became the first Korean MP in the history of the Korean community.

Nelly received 16,588 votes (31.3%), 333 more votes than the second-place candidate for NDP.

Originally, she started her campaign in Richmond Hill, Ontario, later she was recommended to the riding of Port Moody-Coquitlam in British Columbia.

She went through all adversity and finally achieved her goal.

On the other hand, the remaining five Korean candidates who ran for this election made good results with 2nd place at this election.

Coincidently, all of them showed the same results from 2019 Federal Election.
