From June 5 to June 11, 2022 is #EnviroWeek to celebrate and safeguard our environment and restore our ecosystems.
June 5th is United Nations World Environment Day and June 8 is Canada’s Clean Air Day and United Nations World Oceans Day.
This year, the United Nations theme for World Environment Day is “Only one earth”. This theme advocates for environmental change on a global scale.
Established in 1971, Canadian Environment Week celebrates Canada’s environmental accomplishments and encourages Canadians to contribute to conserving and protecting their environment.
You can do something every day, even from home, to protect the planet we all share.
A good start is simply to remember that every choice you make, everything you do or don’t do, affects the planet.
Think about the lifetime environmental impact – from production to packaging to use to disposal – of everything you use or buy.
