Celebrating Korean Heritage Month in Ontario, the 2019 Korea Week took place at different places from Oct. 15 to 18, 2019.

This event is hosted by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Toronto.

2019 Global Taste of Korea with Korean Food Competition was held at George Brown College on Oct. 15, 2019.

Among 10 contestants at the event, Jeon, Min-jung won the first prize.  She made Citrusy White Kimchi.

In the opening remarks, Chung Tae-In Consul General said, “With unfolding cultural activities, you may discover something dynamic, creative and elegant of the modern traditional Korean culture.”

During the reception, by the chance, the Global Korean Post talked with two female classmates studying together with the winner, Miss Jeon, followed by meeting a mother and her daughter, who immigrated from Russia.

Under the theme of Voyage to Korea, this four-day cultural journey highlighted Korea’s cultural assets such as K-Movie, K-Food, K-Beauty, K-pop and more.
