On Dec. 17, the Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, spoke with Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, to congratulate him on his electoral victory.
The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the partnership between Canada and the U.K., including working together to promote ambitious action to address the climate crisis, to deepen our trade relationship, and to support girls’ education around the world.
Prime Minister Trudeau and Prime Minister Johnson look forward to continuing collaboration on the many priorities Canada and the U.K. share, including in multilateral fora such as the Commonwealth.
