Canada’s provincial Premiers will be attending the upcoming meeting on December 2.
On November 13, Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe, Chair of the Council of the Federation, announced the next meeting of the Council of the Federation will take place in Toronto, Ontario.
“I am pleased to announce that the Council of the Federation will be meeting on December 2nd in Toronto, Ontario to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing our nation. I look forward to sitting down with my fellow premiers.” said Scott Moe Leader of the Saskatchewan Party and Premier of Saskatchewan.
Premier Doug Ford said in his statement on the next Council of the Federation meeting, “This is a critical time for us to come together to have these important discussions, listen to the concerns of people in every part of Canada, and ensure we stay united. We can all agree that what’s good for Canada is good for Ontario, and what’s good for Ontario is good for Canada.”
When Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe on Nov. 12, the Prime Minister said he looks forward to hearing about the discussions from the premiers’ meeting next month, which Premier Moe will chair, and to seeing Premier Moe at a First Ministers’ Meeting in the new year.
