The Toronto Smartphone Film Festival (TSFF) is proud to announce its upcoming Smartphone Filmmaking Youth Workshop tailored for Korean youth in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), aged 15 to 24.
This workshop, funded by the Government of Canada’s Community Services Recovery Fund and supported by United Way Centraide Canada, aims to inspire and empower young filmmakers to harness the potential of smartphones in cinematic storytelling.
Eligibility: Korean youth residing in the GTA between the ages of 15 and 24 are invited to participate in this workshop experience.
Date & Time: The workshop will be held on April 13, 20 & 27, 2024, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Location: Korean Canadian Cultural Association 1133 Leslie St., North York
Fee: The workshop is offered completely free of charge, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring young filmmakers.
Registration: Interested participants can register for the workshop at smartphonefilm.ca. During this bilingual workshop, provided in English and Korean, participants will learn new skills in filmmaking using smartphones, build valuable networks of professional and personal relationships, gain accessible channels to possible job opportunities, and rebuild motivation and self-confidence to engage in building a challenging career during COVID-19 and beyond. The program can be the solution for youth content creators who wish to continue making digital content while being physically and financially limited during the COVID-19 pandemic.
